CHOOSE TO LOSE

Choose to Lose: Working together with NHS Wellbeing Teams
to support staff who want to improve their health and wellbeing,
including sustainable weight loss.
We are delighted to announce that Choose to Lose has been officially approved to
deliver slimming and lifestyle meetings at two NHS hospitals, Bassetlaw District Hospital (Worksop) and Tickhill Road Hospital (Doncaster). This alliance is part of the NHS Wellbeing Team
initiatives to care for their valuable staff.

This exciting collaboration with the NHS Wellbeing teams aims to provide a supportive and inclusive space where NHS staff can focus on their health, weight loss, and overall wellbeing while balancing the demands of their busy roles.

Looking Ahead

This partnership marks a positive step towards prioritising staff wellbeing within the NHS. By integrating Choose to Lose meetings into hospital wellbeing initiatives, we’re making it easier for staff to take care of themselves while they take care of others.

We’re excited to continue supporting NHS staff on their health journeys and look forward to seeing more success stories in the months ahead!

Why Choose to Lose?
At Choose to Lose, we understand the unique challenges NHS staff face when it comes to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Long shifts, demanding workloads, and unpredictable schedules can often make it difficult to focus on personal health goals. That’s why our program is designed to be:

✅ Accessible – Meetings are held on-site at the hospital, making it easier for staff to attend before or after their shifts.
✅ Supportive & Non-Judgmental – A community-focused approach ensures encouragement, motivation, and shared success.
✅ Realistic & Achievable – No extreme dieting - just practical, sustainable steps towards a healthier lifestyle and weight loss that fits around NHS shift patterns.
Real NHS Staff, Real Results
Although the program has only been running for a couple of months, we’re already seeing incredible success stories from NHS staff who have joined Choose to Lose. Members are not only losing weight but also experiencing improvements in energy levels, confidence, and overall wellbeing—all of which contribute to their ability to provide the best possible care to their patients.

One NHS staff member shared:
"Joining Choose to Lose at work has been a game-changer. Having a supportive group right here at the hospital has helped me stay on track, even with my unpredictable shifts. I feel healthier, more in control, and more motivated than ever!"
